United Way Community Impact Mini Grants

Our Community Impact Mini-Grants are open to any 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves Union County residents.

The 2027 Community Impact Mini-Grant application will open Feb 1, 2027

These funding requests should present innovative approaches to meeting our community's health and human services needs. Priority will be given to projects that address UWUC focus areas: Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. Applicants must operate as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, serve in Union County, and demonstrate the ability to meet our community's needs.

Application and Funding Procedure (opens Feb. 1, 2027):

  • Organizations must submit funding applications through the grant interface. Double- check that the application is not left as a draft. The deadline is NOON on Friday, February 26, 2027.
  • The Budget & Allocations Committee will review each request and determine whether a formal hearing and/or an on-site visit with the applicant organization is needed. Funding requests may be denied without a hearing or onsite visit.
  • In March, the Budget & Allocations Committee will submit a recommendation to the United Way of Union County Board of Directors on funding recipients and amounts. Organizations will receive written notification of the Board’s decision immediately following this meeting. An award presentation is scheduled for late March/early April.
